Shane Warne(52) , Australia cricket legend and the greatest leg-spinner of all-time, passes away due to a suspected heart attack in Koh Samui, Thailand.
Shane Keith Warne (13 September 1969 – 4 March 2022), holds the record of 708 Test wickets — the most ever for an Australian, and the second-most of all time behind only Muttiah Muralitharan. He was banned from the sport in 2003 for testing positive for a prohibited substance.He also took 293 One-Day International wickets and made more than 300 appearances for Australia across all formats. Warne has also bagged more Ashes wickets than any other bowler in history.
Warne had played 145 tests and 194 ODI’s between 1992 and 2007. Warne was signed as the captain for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2008. Warne also has scored the most international runs without scoring any centuries (4172 runs) and also the first batsman to have scored 4000+ runs at international level without having scored a career century.
