Yonex Swiss Open 2022, the Swiss Open Badminton Championship was held at St. Jakobshalle at Basel, Switzerland from 22 to 27 March, 2022.
P. V. Sindhu defeated Busanan Ongbamrungphan from Thailand in the finals to clinch the title.

HS Prannoy lost his match against Jonatan Christie from Indonesia.

Sindhu is the first and only Indian to become the Badminton World Champion and only the second individual athlete from India to win two consecutive medals at the Olympic Games. She is a recipient of the sports honours Arjuna Award and Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna, as well as India’s fourth highest civilian award, the Padma Shri. She was also honoured with the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award in India, in January 2020.

Swiss Open 2022 is her second title, the first one being Syed Modi International Badminton Championships which was held at Lucknow in January 2022.
