What is Bose–Einstein condensate ?
Bose-Einstein condensation is a quantum phenomenon in Bose gases, similar to ideal gases, in which a large number of bosons simultaneously occupy the ground state of a system.
Bose-Einstein condensates were predicted in 1925 by Bose and discovered experimentally 70 years later by Weimann, Cornell and Ketterle who shared the Nobel prize for their discovery in 2001.
Einstien began in his research with ideal gases to calculate the properties of gas in thermal equilibrium stated that any number of atoms can occupy given a quantum state. This is as called Bose Einstein statistics.
While continiously compressing an ideal gases at a constant temperatur,e there reaches a saturation density for the ideal gas. At a particular stage, the molecules of the gas no longer engage in thermal motion.
A Bose–Einstein condensate is is formed by cooling a gas of extremely low density (about 100,000 times less dense than normal air) to ultra-low temperatures.

Satyendra Nath Bose, ( January 1, 1894 — February 4, 1974, Calcutta) published numerous scientific papers developing a theory in the field of electromagnetic properties of gases. He published Planck’s Law and the Hypothesis of Light Quanta in (1924) which led Einstein to seek him out for collaboration.
Bose was not awarded the Nobel Prize in physics in spite of the fact that his inventions deserved much more than the Nobel Prize.
